A full week is a different proposition from a day out, and the mistake people make is treating it as a distance to cover. The groups who enjoy it most tend to abandon the itinerary around day three: they stop asking what is next and start asking how long they can stay where they are.
A week is chartered crewed: a captain always, and on the larger yachts a chef and a hostess as well. The crew set the rhythm — sail early, anchor and swim through the middle of the day, go ashore in the evening — and guests who let them do it report a better week than those who arrive with a fixed plan.
One cruising ground beats two. A week spent properly in a single archipelago is worth more than a week spent crossing between two: the passage between distant groups eats the days that were the reason for coming.
