Aboard Arsana

Most yachts announce themselves in white. Arsana does not. The hull is close to black and the profile sits so low that from a distance she reads as a longer, flatter object than thirty-five and a half metres. It is the first thing anyone says about her.

She was delivered in 2023, which puts her among the newest yachts on this list and shows in the way the volume is divided. Ten guests across five cabins is an even split: two to a room, with nobody folded into a space that was designed to do something else.

Amer build in Sanremo, and the yard's reputation rests on hulls that ask less of themselves than their size suggests. It is a quality you notice rather than quote: quieter running, and less noise at exactly the point where boats of this length usually make themselves heard.

The saloon glazing runs almost the full length of the room, and it decides where people sit. No interior seat turns its back on the water, so the coast stays present through lunch, through the afternoon, and through the hour when nobody is doing anything in particular.

Five cabins for ten guests suits a group arriving as five pairs more than a family with children to distribute by age. It also suits a charter split between two households, where the accommodation has to be symmetrical and nobody is counting rooms against anyone else.

The crew numbers six. On thirty-five and a half metres that means service which runs continuously without crowding the guest areas. Ten guests and six crew is a working ratio rather than a demonstration of one, and the difference is visible by the second day aboard.

The low profile is a choice with consequences. Arsana sits closer to the water than most yachts of her length, and that changes what a swim feels like, what the sea sounds like at night, and how far you actually are from the surface when everything is still.

She charters across the Mediterranean rather than from one fixed port, so the season is built around a route instead of a departure point. For a group of ten who want a recent boat and a quiet one, the decision does not take long.
